Dumpster sizing questions, answered
What size dumpster do I need for a kitchen remodel?
A 20-yard roll-off handles most Jacksonville kitchen remodels. Cabinets, counters, appliances, and flooring add up fast, and a 20-yard leaves room for drywall and packaging without a second haul.
What size dumpster do I need for a roof?
Roofing is dense, so size by weight rather than volume. A 10-yard handles roughly 1,500 square feet of single-layer asphalt shingles. Two layers or a larger roof usually means a 15-yard.
What size dumpster do I need to clean out a house?
A 20-yard fits most three-bedroom whole-home clean-outs. Full estates, hoarding situations, and homes with a packed garage or attic typically need a 30-yard.
Can I put concrete or dirt in a regular dumpster?
No. Concrete, brick, block, and dirt need a dedicated concrete-only roll-off because of weight limits. We carry them — just tell us when you book and we will bring the right container.
What happens if I pick the wrong size?
Call us. If the container is too small we will swap it or add a second one, and if you sized up unnecessarily we would rather tell you before delivery than take the extra money.
How much does a dumpster rental cost in Jacksonville?
Flat-rate pricing starts at $225 for a 10-yard and runs to $950 for a 30-yard, depending on size, rental length, and debris type. Delivery, pickup, and a weight allowance are included.
